#bootraspberryfromssd, #raspberrypiusbboot In this video I explained 6 easy steps to boot raspberry pi from SSD drive. MicroSD card is not reliable solution for always on server and long term setup. In terms of speed and reliability, SSD drive is the best solution. wpa_supplicant.conf (WiFi enabling on RPI) = country=IN ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev network={ ssid="WiFI SSID" psk="WiFi PASSWORD" key_mgmt=WPA-PSK } How to setup: 1. Flash Raspbian or any compatible OS on both microSD card and SSD drive using etcher or Raspberry Pi Imager. 2. Insert microSD card or Raspberry Pi and boot. 3. Login to Raspberry Pi and execute below command one after another. sudo apt update sudo apt full-upgrade sudo rpi-update 4. Reboot Raspberry Pi. 5. After login run below command to update latest bootloader into eeprom. sudo rpi-eeprom-update -d -a 6. Run "sudo raspi-config" to open the configuration setting. Navigate and select below options: Advanced Options Bootloader version select Latest Use the latest version boot ROM software Reset boot ROM to defaults? select No OK. Advanced Options Boot Order select USB Boot OK. 7. Shutdown/power off raspberry pi. Take off microSD card and attached SSD drive to USB port and power on pi. Now Raspberry Pi will start boot from SSD drive.

The Argon One M.2 is a solid metal case for the Raspberry Pi 4 which offers some really excellent features, including configurable active cooling, 2x fullsize HDMI ports, smart power button / soft shutdown, easily accessible GPIO and perhaps most importantly, the ability to boot from an M.2 SSD. It does have a few minor issues that mean it might not be suitable for all purposes, and the M.2 setup can be fiddly if you don't have an M.2 USB adapter to plug into your PC.
